A very nice letter from one of our customers:
To Whom It May Concern: Greg Roberts built us a fine house in Bangor. Were we to undertake this
project again, we would have Greg build the very same house for us. Greg has
a good sense of design, was helpful to us in our planning, and with patient
humor, helped us through the arduous process. In contrast to other builders
that we interviewed, Greg was open to our needs and helped us work towards our
often obscure goals. It is apparent that he likes both his work and his
interactions with his clients.
Our house has been built with excellent attention to detail and after
three years we have had virtually no problems, either major or minor. Greg
knows his trade and his materials well, and was able to instruct us where to
cut costs and where not to cut costs. He is a careful worker, and takes
justifiable pride in his work. He has hired good subcontractors and stood
behind their work. Likewise, he has stood behind his own work; when we have
had some questions, he has been ready and willing to help us. The house has
a number of excellent touches and came in within our agreed on budget.
Greg's price was fair. We would have had to pay 20 - 40% more for a
similar house with other local contractors. There were several instances in
which we made changes after certain parts of our house had already been
constructed. Greg, with reasonable humor, redid his work, charged us
appropriately, and was still our friend. This is a significant testimonial
to one who puts so much of himself into his work. We were careful about
our change orders and felt that Greg did not overcharge us.
Greg is an impressive contractor, dedicated to a low cost, quality
product. He made a difficult process enjoyable and we are thoroughly
delighted with the outcome. We would be very happy to talk with any
prospective client or take them through the details of our home in Bangor.
